EVJ Volleyball started in January of 1990 with one girls team. The 2019-20 club year will be our 31st season of operation. In 2012 we added both the boys and beach programs. In 2018-19 EVJ Volleyball trained more than 565 athletes combined in our boys, beach, and girls programs. EVJ Boys fielded 9 teams (14s-18s) last fall, along with 2 teams (14s) last spring and one (16s) team competed at Nationals in Dallas this summer.
EVJ Boys will be transitioning to its own brand and new website for the 2019-2020 season and beyond. After much consideration, club management has decided to separate the EVJ Boys brand from the long tenured girls club. "As boys volleyball continues to grow in Arizona we felt strongly that it was time to give the boys their own identity," said EVJ Club Director Jen Leo. "We will soon be operating as Prestige Volleyball Arizona (PVA)."
Ray Lewis, NAIA Men's Coach of the Year and PVA's Program Coordinator said that "operating under EVJ's club management system is a major bonus for any program coordinator. I am excited to announce that Jen and her team will operate in partnership with me and PVA's leadership team to ensure a commitment to excellence. EVJ has been around for 30+ years and we want to stay connected to that tradition of excellence as we strive to establish our own elite boys brand."
The new brand identity and website are currently under construction. We will continue to utilize EVJ's website and registration tool until we are ready to roll out our new brand and launch our new website. With the 2019-2020 season coming upon us in mid August we appreciate your patience with this roll out and ask that you use this web page for communication and upcoming registration opportunities through August 17th tryouts.
