A message from Coach Ashley:
As a Coach who has recently graduated as a student-athlete, my main goal is to grow the love for volleyball within those who are willing to play for me. Volleyball has been an outlet for me since I was a child and still is to this day. By this, I want to ensure positivity and respect regardless of the skill, that can be taught. Negativity and bad attitudes are not welcome on my team, if a teammate is taking positive energy away from the team, this could cause tension when others are wholeheartedly dedicated due to conflicting attitudes. An amazing coach once told me, to be a sponge, not a rock, meaning take in the advice and be coachable. I have taken that advice into account every day since then, not allowing others to deter skill based on attitude or personality. As an athlete, I understand that skill and talent are not developed overnight, as a coach, I understand it takes dedication to acquire certain skills. Lastly, a word I've always chosen to describe myself in the athletic world would be perseverance, repetition until greatness.
