A message from Coach Meg:
I am very excited to be coaching EVJ's 18N1 team again this upcoming season! I began my coaching career while I was a student-athlete at Saint Mary’s College in California back in 1999. I was the Head Coach for numerous club and high school teams from then until our family's move to Arizona seven years ago. During the past 8 years in Arizona I have had an amazing opportunity to serve as a Club Director for NorCal Volleyball Club and to stay at home in Arizona with my two young kids. Now that they are both in school I have the time to get back into the gym with the players and to coach volleyball on top of my administrative duties. I’m confident that there is no better place to coach in Arizona than at EVJ! I can not even begin to tell you how excited I am to be back in the gym. Coaching for me is all about believing in the potential of young athletes, encouraging them to see that potential, and giving honest, insightful, and valuable feedback so that they can make the necessary changes in order to be the player that they have always dreamt of. I would consider myself to be a technical coach and believe strongly in teaching the correct motor programs of how to perform the skills of volleyball in game-like situations. I am tough, but I am encouraging. I want to always see a players potential and do my best to help them make the necessary changes to unlock it.
