A message from Coach Madge:
My personal approach as a coach, leader and mentor is to teach more than the game. I will be working in translating the aspects of volleyball and taking my holistic approach into actions such as teamwork, cooperation, competition, perseverance and a winning attitude.

As a club, EVJ is more than just a place to coach; we care for each other as a family, from coaches to players and parents. We have knowledgeable coaches, passionate leaders whom ultimately exude the desire to assist each and every player to reach their potential. I am truly glad to be a part of such an outstanding organization.

“I think creating an environment that is relaxed and conducive to learning is important. In addition the athlete needs to be aware of the standards and behaviors that all of the Coaches and athletes are prepared to accept to help create the optimal learning environment. Players will be given the opportunity to develop their skill level in a structured learning environment that constantly challenges while providing both encouragement and support. My players will benefit when exposed to challenging drills and skills that require effective decision making and precise execution under pressure. The repetitiveness of these varied drills during practice helps develop competency and confidence for each of them. I also will be setting some short term goals with ongoing feedback, in consultation with the athlete; this will provide them with direction and motivation that will help to keep them on task.”
