A message from Coach Silvana:
I have played volleyball for as long as I can remember, but my best times started at age 12 to 15 years old. I love all aspects of volleyball - coaching, playing, watching, etc. I also love to work with girls in different age groups. I strongly believe a coach is responsible to set good examples for players by teaching, encouraging, and helping players reach the highest level of the sport by maximizing their performance. I am very excited to start another chapter of my coaching life now with EVJ in Arizona this season. During the past 3 1/2 years I have been dedicated to head coaching/assistant coaching girls in different age groups. New opportunities opened with this knowledge and for two years I coached high school as the head coach for both the F/S and JV teams at Providence High School in CA. I am originally from Peru and I played for Bancoper Cristal for two years and practiced with my Peruvian National Team for a full year when I was younger. We practiced all positions, but I specialized in setting. My experience with EVJ last year was phenomenal being the head coach for 18T1 Gilbert and was very satisfactory in so many different ways, that I can’t wait for the new season to begin! I am looking forward to coaching two teams this season (18T1 Gilbert & 11 Navy-Gilbert) and being apart of developing and helping girls grow at EVJ.
