A message from Coach Chanel:
I am so excited and honored to be coaching at East Valley Juniors. In a sense, I’m coming home. I started my volleyball career at 12 years old at East Valley. My love for the game started in their gym. I believe in EVJ's training, methods, goals, and dreams for their young athletes that walk through their doors. I will train my athletes to compete at the next level. I will teach them a solid fundamental foundation, to have an open mind to new techniques, and teach them game strategy and tactics to heighten their volleyball IQ to be able to look at the game in a completely different way. As a coach I am driven to make young athletes successful, not only on the court but off the court as well. Volleyball is such a unique and amazing game. I can’t wait to share my passion and knowledge of the game to these young athletes at EVJ.

    • ​Starting setter for the Arizona Sizzle Professional team. Led the team to a 3rd place bronze medal in the 2015 Adult Nationals in Detroit Michigan.
  • ​Pepperdine, Malibu, CA (2014)
    • ​Appeared in 29 matches and 105 sets … Made five starts … Utilized as a setter, defensive specialist, hitter and serving specialist … Averaged 4.26 assists/set while setting in a 6-2 offense and 2.61 on the season … Ranked third on the team with 29 aces … Totaled 167 digs for a 1.59 average … Put down a career-high seven kills at Creighton (9/12) while hitting from the right side … Also took a career-high 21 swings in the match … Handed out a season-best 27 assists vs. Wichita State (9/13) … Dispatched five aces vs. Utah State (9/5) … Earned three digs-assists double-doubles in 2014 … Picked up a tied-for-career-best 13 digs at Creighton (9/12) … Tallied nine digs on Senior Day (vs. Saint Mary’s, 11/22) … Led the Waves in assists twice … Other season totals include 32 kills, 274 assists, nine blocks and 65.5 points … Pepperdine Scholar-Athlete … Earned WCC Commissioner’s Honor Roll “gold” honors.

Was named to the all-tournament team at the Pepperdine Asics Classic ... Dished out a career-high 59 assists to go along with 12 digs, three kills and two blocks against Cal State Northridge for first double-double as a Wildcat (8/24) ... Tallied 51 assists, 13 digs, three kills and a block at Pepperdine (9/1) ... Recorded a career-high five service aces in a four-set victory over Colorado (10/14) ...     • 2011: Played in every set sophomore year, making 10 starts ... Helped Gators to the NCAA Tournament regional finals … Second at UF with 664 assists (5.68/set), fourth in digs (162, 1.38/set) and service aces (20) ...Tallied a team-leading 25 assists in Elite Eight loss to Illinois, adding seven digs and a service ace ... Recorded a team-high 23 assists to go along with five digs in Sweet 16 victory over Michigan ... Registered a team-leading 21 assists and eight digs at #6 seed Northern Iowa in the NCAA second round ... Just missed a double-double against Missouri, notching 21 assists and a season-high-tying nine digs in the NCAA first round ... Led the team with a career-high 36 assists at Arkansas and was one dig shy of her third career double-double, tying her season best with nine ...     • 2010: A 2010 SEC All-Freshman Team selection ... Helped lead team to the SEC Championship and to the NCAA Tournament regional semifinals … Played in each of the team's 31 matches as the squad's primary setter during three back-row rotations when Kelly Murphy moved to the front row as a primary attacker in the team's 6-2 offensive scheme ... Earned 12 starting nods ... Totaled a squad-best 5.59 assists per set, the fifth-best single-season mark by a freshman in school history ... Just one of 14 players in school history to eclipse the 600-assist mark for her career ... In conference matches only, finished ninth in the SEC with 6.01 assists per set ... Totaled double-figure assists in each of the squad's 30 matches ... Had 20 or more assists in 12 matches...Totaled 25 service aces on the season and did not commit a service error in eight matches over the course of the year ... Turned in two double-doubles in 2010...The SEC Freshman of the Week for Oct. 4.
