Open Gyms provide an opportunity for players to get lots of touches on the ball, keeping their skill set sharp in the off-season or in preparation for school or club tryouts. The sessions are supervised by experienced coaches who organize games for the players in a fast-paced, non-instructional environment.

Open gyms are an opportunity to learn more about the EVJ program while getting to know the coaching staff and allowing EVJ coaches to get to know you better as well.

EVJ-TEMPE AND EVJ-GILBERT OPEN HOUSE/OPEN GYM

The Arizona Region has established an Open House period for players and their parents to visit different clubs to help decide which club to try out at and join for the 2023-2024 season. The Open House period is typically the 10-day period prior to the specific age group tryouts. CLICK HERE for more information from the AZ Region regarding the *rules and policies as they relate to the open house period and tryouts. 

*The Arizona Region of USA Volleyball allows 3 open house sessions for each age group. For clubs with multiple locations, open house sessions must be offered on the same date within a certain time block to qualify as one session.

EVJ Open House Schedule 9th-12th Grade / 15U-18U

Each session includes an open gym for the players, an informational meeting for the parents, and the ability for parents/players to talk with coaches at the end of each open gym. All registrants will receive an email confirmation before each session that will include a more detailed plan for the open house. Players may attend all 3 EVJ open house sessions (sign up as a Tempe or Gilbert registrant each time.)

There is a $20 fee for each open gym the player attends.
